Performance

The standard engine on the Ford Edge is a turbo 2.0-liter EcoBoost® engine that produces 250 horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque. This engine uses an eight-speed automatic transmission. The second engine on the ST is a 2.7-liter EcoBoost® V6 engine with a power output of 335 horsepower, 380 pound-feet of torque, and a seven-speed transmission.

Design

The Ford Edge seats five people. Its interior has quite a bit of space for both the driver and occupants to stretch out and find a comfortable position. The Edge has controls that are straightforward and easy to use. Accessing the cabin is easy, with large doors that open wide. In addition to its cushioned and comfortable seats, it's easy to find room in the trunk for all your belongings.

On the outside, the Edge has a sleek and contemporary look. The Ford SUV comes with LED headlights, and its wheels range in size from 18 to 21 inches. Appearance packages are available to alter the exterior of the different trim levels for an even more unique look. Practical features, like a power liftgate and rain-sensing wipers, are also an option with some of the Ford Edge trim levels.

Technology and Safety

The 2024 Edge comes standard with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. It also has keyless entry. Sound systems range from six to nine speakers, and a 12-speaker B&O sound system comes with the Titanium trim level. Heated rear seats and ventilated seats are available to increase your comfort during chilly Freeland drives.

All Edge trims have forward collision warning, lane keeping assist, blind-spot warning, and automatic high beams. Navigation, adaptive cruise control, and evasive steering assist are available to enhance your safety.

Trim Levels

There are five trim levels available in the 2024 Ford Edge lineup. Starting off the line is the SE trim. The SE has an interior equipped with dual-zone climate control, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and a six-speaker sound system. The base model has dual-zone climate control, along with a push-button start feature and keyless entry. All trims have Ford's Co-Pilot360™ suite of advanced safety amenities, and you can even get an appearance package with black wheels, badges, and other black accents.

The SEL is the next Edge trim level. The SEL has some upgrades, including synthetic leather upholstery, heated front seats, and an upgraded sound system with more speakers. A convenience package is available that adds wireless phone charging, a security alarm, a power liftgate, and a 110V power outlet. You can also get an SEL appearance package with all-terrain tires, faux leather upholstery, and a black and gray exterior color scheme.

With the ST-Line comes a standard black exterior appearance, body-colored bumpers, and larger 20-inch glossy black wheels. The interior has a unique color scheme with red accent stitching.

Next, the Titanium has remote engine start, rain-sensing wipers, leather upholstery, and an upgraded Bang & Olufsen sound system. Front parking sensors are available, and the front passenger's seat has more adjustments. A Lux package is available that adds heated rear seats, automated parking, a panoramic glass roof, ventilated seats, and a camera.

The ST has larger 20-inch wheels and a sport suspension system. This trim also has sporty front seats with silver stitches, and it has suede and leather upholstery. Larger 21-inch glossy wheels are available, and you can get larger brakes with red calipers. The ST also has summer tires that provide more grip as you drive around Saginaw.
